Preschool Pumpkin Carving On the week before Halloween. the preschoolers carved pumpkins. The children took a field trip to a local pumpkin patch and each child chose his own pumpkin. This was a wonderful chance'for some seniors to join the preschoolers in carving the pumpkins. The seniors signed up to help and on arrival we re greeted by many eager little faces. After taking the top off and removing all the “gushy stuff — as Emily Clark put it — the seniors helped the children decide on facial expressions for their pumpkins. These faces ranged from scary and evil to friendly and funny, and after they were drawn the seniors carved them. Some pumpkins were very elaborate, having ears, tongues, eyelashes or even chimneys. The children's favorite part was displaying their pumpkins on Halloween What has become of them'’ Jenna Farni proudly stated, ”my dad hasn't thrown mine away. I don't think. Matthew Eichenlaub was not so lucky. Matthew sadly reported, well, mine got all moldy so we had to throw it oway.
