ee Anderson is the chairman of the Building and Grounds committee on the Board of Trustees and is largely responsible for raising the money for things like our hockey rink, the new classrooms in middle school and of course the buying and selling of our school. Lee Anderson went to Breck for his entire 12 years of schooling, he graduated in 1957. Both of his children attend Breck one in 5th grade and one in 7th grade and he is now one of Breck's most prominent alumnus. So, when you see that tall mysterious man roaming the hallways you'll know it’s our buddy Lee Anderson. Because of everything that Lee Anderson has done for Breck, the 1980-81 yearbook staff would like to give this special recognition to him. Thank you very much Mr. Anderson. We appreciate everything that you have done! 3

Dedication hat Is a school?-People. Ideas and a place to bang them oft together. 'We are the eck Famiy. and tor the past 23 years. 4200 'West River Road has been our home. Uke any other tamtty we both love and hate the place where we spend so much ot out time. Why would anyone leave this haven by the Mississippi, where the changing seasons ate laid out tor us to see In the reflection on the water? How many ot us can say that we haven't, at one time or another, turned away from the work at hand to watch the wind In the trees, stare at the clouds, or Just wonder about nothing? The beauty ot this campus will be remembered. Yet who but a tool would stay where their needs codd not be met. This campus has served It’s purpose and Is no longer adequate. We need more classrooms, more commons areas and more room to stretch both physically and InteiectucHy. Our new campus meets our new needs; It has tocities that will alow us to meet new academic, athletic, and artistic challenges and room enough to grow. It w take many classes, many chapels and much time spent Just living, walong the hols, chatting In quiet corners, running, shouting, throwing torbidden frizbees and eating contraband candy bars, to make the new building as much our own as this one was. Because we have spent 23 years here, we cannot leave without having some part ot the Breck spirit remain with us in the form of memories both good and bad. This year marks the end ot an era for Breck. As we fondly dedcate this yearbook to a place where many happy years have been spent, and look with regret upon leaving it. We also look forward to the years to come and promise to dedicate ourselves to making our new campus as much a part of us as this one was.
