ASSISTANT HEADMASTER As Assistant Headmaster of Breck School, it is the responsibility of Mr. Robert Aarthun to maintain order and discipline, effect new developments, pick up problems and discuss solutions to these with Canon Henderson and other administrative members. But Mr. Aarthun goes far beyond these functions. He has taken a deep interest in all students and their academic and athletic education. His personal guidance as an advisor and encourager has helped many students cope with school life. Along with his administrative roles, Mr. Aarthun is one of the most enthusiastic sports fans at Breck. But most of all. through his broad smile. Mr. Aarthun spreads a feeling of happiness and friendship throughout the school Breck community. 11

HEADMASTER This is Canon F. Douglas Henderson’s twentieth year as Headmaster of Breck School. He is also celebrating the thirtieth year of his priesthood. Throughout this time he has been dedicated to keeping pace with modern education and attempting to provide each student with the best education the school can offer. Canon has established progress in all areas, enabling Breck to meet the needs of the present and the challenges of the future. His capability and enthusiasm are shown in the significant developments which have affected all phases of Breck life. Through his Sacred Studies classes Canon has won the respect and friendship of the seniors. His knowledge and understanding of the problems that face youth today have been a great help to the students. Canon’s leadership and devotion to the school have made Breck the excellent school it is today. 10
