 MRS. KATHLEEN HARSHBARGER The 1973 Mustang is dedicated to a woman who is truly a fine teacher and who loves working with our younger students. She is a quiet, unassuming person whose diligence and personal warmth have endeared her to the Breck community. Mrs. Harshbarger has been at Breck since 1957-16 of her 26 years of teaching. She has taught primarily math in grades 4-6. For a short while she served as the first Dean of Girls helping her fledglings make the transition into seventh grade and adjust to what had been an all boys school. But her first love remained teaching the elementary students, and she soon resumed her full-time devotion to them. This year she is co-ordinator of the third and fourth grade curriculum and teaches all subjects in the fourth grade. The Mustang and the Breck community salute Mrs. Harshbarger. We thank her for her loyalty, kindness, patience, and hard work and hope that such a high quality teacher and fine, understanding human being will continue to serve Breck School for many years. 7
