COACHES A TALE OF TIGERS BY GLENN BOUDOIN By the time we realize the seasons at an end, Reflections fill our minds of what could have been. Each game in it's own little way Added a chapter to our saga, at work or at play. Unending hours we spent learning all of the plays. X's and O's filled our nights and also our days. Berwick fell first in the tough district race. Rounding out to top form we put SM flat on its face. If fate and Lady Luck hadn't stepped in, Doubtless we'd have left Bulldog field with a win. Grinding out yardage by land and by air, Easily we dropped the Gents, with power to spare. Many wondered what happened on that fateful night, In our own backyard, when Rayne turned out the light. Gamely we fought back with a big Wildcat win, Hoping Rayne would emerge, so we could get in. That, however, was not to be, so we stayed home. Yet with a few breaks here and there, we could have gone There's the Bulldog loss, with the 12-man block, It cost us the game, with so little left on the clock. Give Rayne that ill-fated two-point try, Even that sure TD against Rayne, which we let go by. Regardless of how the cards had to fall, Students and fans can be proud, we gave them our all.
