One of the school's many required courses is Phys- ical Education QPEJ. Seven quarters are required for graduation. Most students take their first quarter of PE in ninth grade as part of a I-IealthfPE program. During the remaining two years, students generally get a choice of sports and activities unless they are enrolled in a special ath- letic class, such as foot- ball or volleyball. The choice ranges from soft- ball to basketball to swim- ming with sports like archery and tennis some- where in between. The main exception to the sev- en quarter PE requirement is band members, who get one quarter of PE credit for marching season. 5,-,,-....q......-r .-....... 9-A-0: -.
