Fund Raising - Clubs Earn For Themselves All year, students helped with fund raising activities such as these. Drama spon- sor Victor Platt said, When we do plays the money pays for other shows, costumes, for the buses and to buy ma- keup. The Latin Club sold spirit links, t-shirts, jer- seys, and valentines. Alice West said, DE sells candy bars to buy jackets for first year students. The student council had a howdy dance, sold balloons at the games, stickers, and Homecoming flowers for a friend. The money went to the student council and was then used for the student body. 'X T C A

Christmas Season Sparkles Many activities were car- ried on during the weeks preceeding the Christmas holidays . The Student Coun- cil was busy with their car- toon, Rudolf, going to the youth home, and to Brazos- view. The band organized and arranged their annual Christmas dance. The choir went caroling at Woodlake Nursing Home, and a hayr- ide followed. Many of the different clubs held Christmas parties. The Spanish, DE, FHA, and the French clubs had their par- it tqiffl -4' fs i 'lt it B ties at one of the club mem- bers' homes. The French Club had their party at Sue I-Ienderson's house in Rich- wood. Norma Guiterez, Patti Mitchell, and Joyce Ramiski were in charge of the deco- rations and the skit. The FHA had a progressive din- ner which ended with a Christmas party. DE planned a party followed by a hayride and caroling.
