One of the highlights of Brazoswood's dramatic year was the production of The Hobbit, a fanta- sy written by 1. R.R. Tol- kien. Bilbo Baggins, the main character, was played by jill Patton with Teresa Donnell, Perry Hudson, Dale I-lusopple, and Perry Edgar playing the other leads . Another important dra- ma event was the Brazos- wood Pantomine troupe performing at the Brazos Mall and five local ele- mentary schools. Other events included the Bay City Speech Tournament Where Brazoswood placed third in Sweepstakes. Trophy winners were Ke- vin o'Quin, in Standard Poetry Readingg Alice Brovsm, in Novice Poetry Readingg jill Patton and Sherryl Colley, second in debate, and jill Patton, second in solo acting. ,,,,..gn- 'k is
