Say cheese. These were a few of the commands that students heard when they were photo- graphed early in the year. Going from thei'r gym classes to the auditorium where the pictures were taken was a good excuse for many students to get out of class. Students stood in line, talking, laugh- ing, and meeting friends, until the mo- ment when they sat before the screen and smiled for the little black box. Underclassmen were offered for the first time a variety of pictures for sale. They could purchase small or large pack- ages, 54.50 or 58.00. This and the new policy of paying for pictures before taking caused some confusion for the students. Most of them, however, were satisfied with the results. Seniors posed for pictures at pre-ar- ranged times which they signed up for. Taking the pictures was lengthy for the girls , who were photographed in three different outfits. Even the boys occasion- ally had a long wait as the photographer made various adjustments with the ca- mara. Senior pictures were greeted in the mail with cries of pleasure by the upper- classmen. As one student put it, Exchanging the pictures with my friends was most of the fun of getting them.
