Students Learn From Freld Trips Learning took place in other places than just classrooms as most students were happy to find when they took field trips. Seeing things as they exist in the work world was the basis for trips by science classes to places such as Dow Chemical Company plants and industrial arts as they visit local craftsmen and corpora- tions in Brazoria County. Language classes visited cultural sites such as mu- seums and performances of dance and dramatics in Houston. Often included were visits to specialty shops or restau- rants of that particular language such as French Club's visit to a French bakery. Some classes took trips as part of perfor- mances such as band, choir, and orches- tra tours and pantomine groups. XIII:-T-f 3- A ,1 .
