Bucs Shine In Sports The following students were winners of individual honors as members of their teams during the year: Football all district first team, Larry Moore, Gary Moten, Dwayne Rhodes, Mitch Mardis, and Mike Gaubatzg sec- ond team Phillip Sherbrook, Billy Izard, Bobby Williams , Lloyd jordan, Lonnie Key, Mike Stork, Mark Robinson, Benny Dunn, Roy Erps, Kelvin Houston, and Bobby Williamsg honorable mention Kevin Coufal, joel Barnett, and Paul Gaspard. Most Valuable players and All-Brazoria County, All-Greater Houston, and All-State were senior linebackers Moten and Rhodes. Basketball most valuable players were johnita Davis and Keary Castleberry. Castleberry was All-District and All- Brazoria County and most valuable player at the Brazosport College Tour- nament. Volleyball most valuable player was Pam Tatum. Tatum, Bonnie Broadus, and Nancy Norsworthy were All-Dis- trict. Receiving Track's most valuable A member awards were G , f,,t Laura Mozingo and Floyd , ,,,,, ,., ,.- t , , Harris. Most valuable boy runner was Dennis Free- mand and most valuable field event boy was George Gray. Golf's Bruce Bradford was most valuable award recipient. Both he and Da- K vid Oelfke were All-Dis- trict. Tennis team's most valuable players were Kelly Abendroth and a tie between LeeAnn Herrmann and Dorinda Jung. ' Outstanding swimmers were Dorinda Jung and Gary Gardner.
