She earned a third place in the district level national Spanish exam. 1 , Marty Merritt was three-year member of All-state orchestra . He was string bass section leader two years. He was a two-year symphonic band member placing All-district, region, and area. He was a three-year member of stage band and All-region jazz ensem- ble . He was in All-star band at Wharton junior College Contest. Marty won third place in state, region and district UIL ready writ- ing.
