Kathy Pickle was a member of National Honor Society, Deck- hands vice-president, FTA secre- n , tary, in Freshman Chorus and A I Cappella Choir three years, on the honor roll four ears, and a mem- ber of junior Who's Who . She has six merit awards in English and two in French. Don Ripple was Student Council president and a member four years. He was Freshman Class vice-president and Sophomore and Junior Class president. He was a class favorite four years. Don was Mr. Buc, most representative, member of the Treasure Chest gallery, and Optimist citizenship award recipient. He received merit awards in Speech lll and UIL Speech. Gregg Smith was in band four years, three years in symphonic band. He was in stage band four years. He was band president, two years district and region band, one year region Jazz ensemble, two-year orchestra member, and earned eight UH. solo and ensemble medals. He was in National Honor Society two years and on honor roll four years. He was dish-ict champion in U11. science and placed third another year. Steve Lamb was a National Merit Scholarship finalist, Junior Achievement UAJ member three years and one year president of the year of the company of the year for JA. He attended the na- tional JA conference twice . He was a two-year member of Na- tional Honor Society, drama participant, and JETS Club and Chem Club member. Senior Who's Who David Kremmer was in football four years and on varsity one year. He won the Fighting Buccaneer Award. He was in extempo- raneous speaking and debate three years. He was on honor roll. He was on National Honor Society two years and president of it one year. He won merit awards in Algebra I, World History, and Speech III. David was a member of JETS, Latin Club, Medical Careers Club, Political Science CI.ub, and HAMUN. Senior Who's Who Karen Stewart was valedictorian, Outstanding student in English, Foreign Language , and Math, Captain of drill team and three-year member of drill team, and vice-president and two-year member of Latin Club. She was in National Honor Society two years and in junior Who's Who . She was drill team Little Sister of the Year, Clute Optimist Youth of the Day, and DAR Good Citizen. Her merit awards were in English, fiveg foreign lan- guage, three, math, three, science, three, social studies, two and UIL Ready Writing . She was a member of first place teams in Bee County Col- lege contest twice . jeff Whitaker was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, mem- ber of the National Honor Society, JETS Club, and on the Bee County College Brazoswood social science contest teams.
