Senior Who's Who johnita Davis was Outstanding Science Student award winner, Texas AGM Presidential Scholar, National Achievement Scholar- ship Finalist, junior Engineering Technological Society award winner, Society of Women Engineers Award winner, American Legion award winner, Clute Optimist Youth of the Day, and win- ner of the Most Valuable Buccette award. She was in basketball four years, two on varsity, a four-year letterrnan in track, honor roll four years, and National Honor Society. Merit awards were in Language Arts, four, foreign language, one, social studies, two, math, twog and science, three. Denise Dolezal was a two-year member of Student Council and treasurer one year, two-year member of Latin Club and one year secretary, junior Class treasurer, and National Honor Society sec retary. She was a cheerleader, Miss Buc, Outstanding Student in Club Queen, and a member of Who's Who as a Jtmior. Merit timist Youth of the Day. Stephen Hazelton was a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. He was a member of Chemistry Club, Industrial Arts Club, Latin Club, National Honor Society, UIL Typing team, and Junior En- gineering Technological Society UETSJ , of which he was presi- dent. He won first place in state industrial arts drafting test and state Latin competition. W 1 Trudy Heimbigner was salutatorian of the 1979 graduating class. She was a four-year orchestra member and made All-State Orchestra for four years. She was on the varsity tennis team, National Honor Society, a member of the honor roll, and on junior Who's Who . Trudy received the Society of Women Engineers Award. She served as Vice-president and President of Orchestra. Merit awards included science, one, Language Arts, five, social studies, four, and one in math. l Dorinda Jung was captain of the swim team, statefinalist in swim- ming, quarter-finalist in tennis, a member of Latin Club three years, in basketball one year, on the honor roll, and received the out- standing student award in tennis and swimming . -an Lonnie Key was a four-year f , football team member, two on varsity.
