A U aj Senior Spike Davis pulls his famous eating a can stunt. bl Senior Debbie Scruggs' house has been subjected to the crazy pranks of her friends. cj Student council president Don Ripple and council members Scott Drake and David Aldous strut their stuff during a pep rally skit. dj Seniors Scott Sanders and Darrell jones have to be crazy to climb to the top of the bonfire pile. Crazy Fad Flourishes Nanu-Nanu The words crazy and in- sane seem to have taken on a new meaning in the last few years , and the student body gave them a great definition. Wild and crazy became the latest fad in humor. The popu- larity of Steve Martin, the Satur- day Night Live Show, Mork and Mindy, Monty Python's Flying Circus Qwhich had nothing to do with flying, a circus, or anyone named Monty Pythonj, and even the Muppet Show indicated that jokes no longer have to be under- standable to be funny. A pair of pink bunny ears, an exploding penguin on top of the television set, the weekly amputations of Mr. Bill and Pigs In Space were just a few examples of the new classics in humor. lt was easy to recognize the students who participated in this new movement. They were the ones quoting whole paragraphs of seemingly meaningless dialogue from Monty Python, wearing T- shirts with crazy sayings printed on them in glitter letters, col- lapsing with laughter every time the word Albatross was said in a shrill English accent, doing Rosanne Rosa.nnadanna imita- tions, waiting in long lines to see Animal House, and shaking hands with Mork's famous greeting, Na.nu-Na.nu . Even if the jokes were bad, and the dreams of a food fight hope- less, students had an interesting change from routine when one of their friends got happy feet or weird-walked across the cafe- teria. 11
