Cheerleaders Spark Pep Rallies Students roared when it was time for pep rallies. Leading them off were the cheerleaders . They were Byron Armintor and Denise Dolezal, seniors Rhonda Pyeatt and Debbie Miller, juniors, and sophomores jean Mardis, Lori Meadors, Amy Ripley, and Ceci Schumann. The cheerleaders put a lot of time into their cheers. They went to cheerleading camp last summer in San Marcos at SWTSU. They practiced four days a week in the summer and three days during the school week. The requirements of a cheerleader were that they could not be failing any classes or have any U's in conduct on the report card prior to try-outs. If a cheer- leader was on the ineligibility list, they could not cheer at that week's game or pep rally.
