I ! The Student Council stayed busy all year with activities for everyone. A Howdy Dance was held at the beginning of the year for ev- eryone to get reacquainted and for freshmen to get in the swing of Brazoswood. During the football season the council really helped boost spirit for the Bucs by having overalls day, tacky day, rock T-shirt day, and even a sunglasses day. At some of the football games they sold blue and white balloons . Bumper stickers and a carnation sale were also used to raise money for the council. The Student Council District Convention was held at Brazoswood and various schools met together and to discuss current happen- ings at their schools and make plans for more. The Student Council not only planned things for Brazoswood students but they cooked breakfast for the teachers one morn- ing, took presents to the Youth Home, brought ice cream to the nursing home, and took food to needy families. During lunch the council held 3-legged races, jump rope, volleyball, and a mean game of tug-of-war. A student versus facul- ty volleyball game was held in the gym, and the faculty beat the students. At the end of the year, the annual Superlative Show was held by the Student Council, class favorites, the Gallery, and senior honors were an- nounced.
