New Staff Produces Best In Years The Sabre staff began the year with a to- tal of five members . By the end of Septem ber, the staff had grown to twenty-five. The result was the most productive in years. Ten publications were produced during the year. The publication underwent various changes . The format was changed from the newspaper style to the newsmagazine style. This included more pictures, lines separating stories , and stories and pic- tures in modular style. This change, problems that arose at the last minute, and the mistakes that weren't noticed until it was too late helped make the sabre a very unique newsmagazine according to editor-in chief Kelli Walton. . rg iii-QQ al Kelli Walton discusses an ad with Bonny Anderson for the news magazine . bl Pam Tatum walks the stairs to the convention center during the state convention in Austin. cj The '78-79 Sabre Staff from left to right: Bottom row: Pam Tatum, Sue Henderson, Diane Kalisehlco, Marlyne Gutierrez, Delores Delgado, and Linda Fuller.
