Z Treasurer Chest staff members spent a large portion of their time organizing and writing for the 1978-79 yearbook. These students sized pictures, fit copy, sold ads and subscriptions, and spent endless hours writing and rewriting on copy. They worked before school, in class, after school, before the school year started, and even after the school year was over. In charge of all this was editor-in-chief Mindy Brock, assistant editor was Merry Brashear. At the middle of the year, jay Nowlin was promoted from ads manager to news editor and David Lorms was given the duties of ads manager. Bill joy was Photo Assignment editor and Marlyne Gu- terrez was Photo darkroom editor. Yearbook students picked up new ideas and were able to share their ideas with students from other schools when they at- tended seminars held at the state journal- ism convention in Austin. Most valuable staff editor was Nowlin. Most valuable staff members were Jenni- fer White and Colleen Whitmore. Most valuable photographers were Dena Brown, Marlyne Gutierrez, and Stephanie Hall.
