Discos Big Saturday Night The popularity of discos was attributed to the over- whelming success of Sat- urday Night Fever star- ring john Travolta. Discos sprung up for adults as well as teen- agers. Probably the most 'popular place to be on Friday and Saturday night is The Music Machine, a non-alcholic disco de- signed to give high school people a place to get away from the pressures of parents, principals, and homework. Adult supervi- sion is carried on from afar: so, unless a rule is broken or common courte- sy is disobeyed, one might never know anyone else was there except friends and casual acquaintances. Lights, music, ear- drums screaming for help, people on the dance floor writhing to the beat of the music, all were a part of the disco scene. B

What You Paint ls What You See just as one can't see the forest for the trees, the stu- dents, faculty, and adminis- trators saw so many signs and posters that they were almost unnoticeable . But the signs informed, amused, and influenced every- one who saw them. The halls were wallpapered with cam- paign slogans before the stu- dent elections. Signs hung with bright balloons and streamers filled the walls during Spirit Week. During the year, invita- tions to join clubs, and an- nopncements for concerts, College Night, the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon, and other activities appeared. Announce- ments of play parts and club meetings were of importance to the students involved in these activities. Even in classrooms, decorative post- ers provided a pleasant atmo- sphere for students and teach- ers, and could be stared at thoughtfully if a student was trying to avoid being called on.
