' ' . .. ffii ffff . ,,f V ye BHS Chapter DE All DE activities revolve around class- room studies which include group work, individual study, and research projects. DE is a program of involve- ment in the school, business and com- munity in which the students grow mentally, physically, and socially. Six credits may be earned toward grad- uation which allow the student to enter into business employment, col- lege, or both. Every year the BHS Chapter of DECA gives a 3400 schol- arship to a DE student selected by the DE advisory committee. ,..ff1+ DECA DE is a vocational program designed to provide knowledge and skills for high school students in retailing. wholesaling and service occupations. It provides class- room instruction and on-the-job super- vised training and work experience through a cooperative business relation- ship between the employers of the com- munity and the public school. Each year DEC.-X students are responsible for operating the BHS snack bar and work with the FF,-X chapter to build the sehoolls float for the Brazoria County Fair Parade. Other activities include hol- iday decorations for the vocational building, window displays in the main building, maintaining the marquee, and participating in area and state leadership conferences and business and community research.
