CVAE Co-op The Coordinated Vocational Academic Education Co-op students attended classes to satisfy requirements toward graduation, and were free to report to training stations. These were jobs in the Brazosport Area arranged by their teacher-coordinator. Students trained to be clerks in various stores, or to work in restaurants in various capaci- ties. They worked in many businesses to gain some skills in areas of their in- terests. The CVAE Co-op is regulated much like related co-ops such as DE, VHO, and VOE. ACADEMICS-81

,..ff1+ DECA DE is a vocational program designed to provide knowledge and skills for high school students in retailing. wholesaling and service occupations. It provides class- room instruction and on-the-job super- vised training and work experience through a cooperative business relation- ship between the employers of the com- munity and the public school. Each year DEC.-X students are responsible for operating the BHS snack bar and work with the FF,-X chapter to build the sehoolls float for the Brazoria County Fair Parade. Other activities include hol- iday decorations for the vocational building, window displays in the main building, maintaining the marquee, and participating in area and state leadership conferences and business and community research.
