5 2 ns? S Mechanical repair This mechanical and marine repair course consisted of 22 boys this year. Along with their academic studies, they mastered skills in small boat hull and engine work. They learned the practical skills involved in such things as tire repair, welding, and small engine work. One specific concentration of learning was in fiber glass work. They made a fiber glass liquid feeder tank for cattle, the fundamentals of which could be used in many other applica- tions. 78-ACADEMICS Aww M-f 6 '

VHO Four boys and 25 girls were enrolled in the Vocational Health Opportuni- ties program this year. Training in health fields gave them a ehance to find out if they were in the right line and gave them hasie training in that line. Students worked at Community Hospital, and for doctors. dentists, labs, and Dow lndustrial Medicine. VllO was affiliated with VlCA until now. but next year it will separate and join a statewide health organization.
