As a final activity, they took a four day tour with the Sym- phonic Band in central Texas. The String Ensemble was a seven member group which will form the neucleus of a full orchestra program for next year. During the rest of the year, the Ship- mates had a Christmas party, and made Decorations for the Athletic Banquet. In January, they attended a clinic at the Houstonis Shamrock Hil- ton. Spring activities consisted mostly of try-outs for next year. This part of drill team work is a very serious one. 46-ACADEMICS

I ,ooo Marching Band The BHS marchers were very busy in the fall and winter. They put together many fine half time shows. A Black Light Spectacular was done at the Brazosport-St. Thomas game which featured the drill team, the twirlers, and the drum section in three differ- ent songs, after a drill hy the band. At the Brazosport-Brazoswood game, the bands and drill teams from both schools comhined to present a Patriot- ic Show. Formations of different American emblems were performed.
