Shipmates Last summer, eleven of the newly formed drill team attended camp at the University ol' llouston. Thr- purpose ol' this group was to aid the girls with props, fund raising activities and uniliorm nialiing. The Shiplnatcsi first perform- ance was at the llrazosport-Sprinlgh wood game. Their pom-porn routine to the tune ol' MSon of a Prcaclicr Klan? was given a standing ovation by the crowd. FTA The 1971-72 school year saw the FTA members attend a fall District Conven- tion. Thirty students attended the State Convention in Dallas in Febru- ary. Each Month a Teacher of the Month was selected and in May a Teacher of the Year was taken from this group.
