si N'-ss... New happenings The Student Council broke away from the unsuccessful 'l'wirp Dance and carrie up with an old fashioned lee Cream Social instead. This was a fun occasion, and a complete success. The patio was the sight for the cranking and eating ol' the nine delicious flavors ol' homemade ice cream. The cafeteria was filled to the lnrim fan unusual occurancej with dancers taking advantage ol' the Stage Bandis great music. Another successful, but Somehow more meaningful, project was the Old River Clean-up Campaign sponsored by the Freeport Jaycees. Some l75 BHS students spent one lVlarch Saturday picking up old tires, logs, dead fish, paper, cans, old boats, and all sorts ol' unimaginable trash in an effort to make the area a little more beauti- l'ul.
