Eihierleaders show their ability with a high c . Cheerleaders This yearis cheerleaders fall girlsj started early by attending a one-week camp in August. There they won the spirit stick three times and got to bring it home. The girls worked hard during football season, expecially on Fridays. There were the pep rallies, after which they had to take down all the signs and put them in the Field House. Streamers were placed around the standsg home for a quick supper Quo homeworkj and back for the game. ln addition to these duties, the girls took part in the fair parade and took other area cheerleaders to dinner several times with lVlr. Christmas 1971 Christmas at BHS brought the usual busy, yet happy atmosphere to the entire school. The Choirs and drama- l- 7 tists combined their efforts to produce l MA Christmas Happeningm as a musical production for the students and the community. Distributive Education and the Student Council worked to- gether to decorate the school with the usual tinsel, red, and green. Sunset Nursing Home was graced with the appearance of the medical Careers Club. The girls tried to bring a little Christmas cheer into the hearts ofthe patients. The BHS members did their best to spread joy by giving a party for the Children at the Brazoria County Youth Home.
