Q- Co-Captain Jerry tOxl Oliver, a 266 lb. Texas sized tackle was selected as Most Outstanding Lineman of the Gulf Coast school boy football area by the Facts, placed on 2nd team All-District and was featured on the cover of Texas Coach magazine in the October issue, 1961. As the leading offensive team in Dis- trict 12 AAAA, most of the yardage was gained over Ox. Opposition refused to go over Oliver 90? of the time as they show respect for his football ability. wan-'W Co-Captain Melvin fPinky1 Anders, a clever 165 lb. quarterback, in whom his teammates placed their trust more than fulfilled their expectations as he effectively guided them to an impres- sive 7-1-1 season record. He won admiration from not only his teammates, but fans and sportswriters alike as he won All-District Quarterback position and the Brazosport Facts Award. v-nv haw
