it Eases Work A smile, a smirk, a laugh or bellow help ease the strain of the classroom routine. It takes a little bit of different to make school bearable. We have to ha ve something to keep us going besides wai- ting for the 3:00 bell. No one can sit for 350 minutes a day without some diversion. Most humor happens impromptu, but occasionally we have to create our own fun. Mike Owen said he found amusement getting out of the classroom, Running the halls. Friends who try to entertain you, said Genelle Prothero, is what she finds most amusing. Kelly Smith laughed and said she found it amusing, When Scotty Moore got soot all over his face during a fake seance in drama class. Carol Webb was amused by Mr. Clodfelter jumping on his desk in her sixth hour college math class. Any wayyou Iookatit, we all find wit in varied ways, but we all agree that we do what we do For the Fun of It. The mixed chorus boys entertain the first grad- ers with carols the day before Christmas break. In the home economics room, Alvern Olson and Tracy Pollock take time out for a short dance lesson. ,With nothing else to do, Matt Hays tries to find out if he can get a three- minute timer in his mouth lengthwise. ,ww-...Wat V. -- ff fl' IH, I an 'W E596 1 's

I Write 1. llnatil we PTF Q We ha ve ads of all sizes and prices, Carol Webb explains to a Carrollton merchant during the summer sales campaign. Qrf It's been said that a book can't be judged by its cover, and it's sometimes true. Nine months of hard work, hard thinking and planning go into a year- book. Responsibility, a good attitude, and effort are essential to a successful staff You just can't throw a bunch of stuff down on a page. It has to be planned out carefully before it can be sent in to the publisher, Dawn Brooke said. It's a lot of fun. You get to sell ads in the summer, even though you ha ve to, and the field trip to the St. Joe work- shop was fun and a learning experi- ence. We also enjoyed the visits from our representative, Mr. Reed IMr. Walsworthjf' said junior member Tracy Pollock. There are nine members of the staff, each one doing her part to make the year booka success. It can't be done without cropping, writing copy, taking photos, urging deadlines, teamwork, and, most importantly, doing it For the Fun of It. N -at Yearbook staff members get some advice from Walsworth representative, Jim Reed. Staffers Paula Vanderpool, Kelly Smith, and Tracy Pollock enjoy going through pictures. ' -
