Boys and girls dress up nicely. The boys sea ted the girls. We ate lunch in the room by candlelight and soft music. We had to mind our manners. For Homecoming we ma de drums out ol' coffee cans. Our slogan was Beat the Dragons. We walked in the parade. On Halloween the room mothers decora ted our room in haunted fashion. The fourth grade contained 31 industrious students. They learned such things as multiplication and division. In science, one unit was on sound. All the fourth graders made original instruments which were quite interesting. In social studies Missouri history was the highlight of the year. G d Mrs ongratulations were extended to the second graders and their parents. Many hours were spent improving reading skills at school and at home. Fifty book reports were required this year, so parental support was essential.
