The grueling routine shows on the laces of Tracy Pollock, Barb Criner and Billy Lassince. etting' wi th the rogram Locker assignments are recorded by Renee Leakey as Paula Vandcrpool makes certain all is right. Crying elementary students, hugging friends, comparing tans, getting an update on summer happenings, and complaining about the heat are just a few of the things that made up the first day of school. Students new to the school stepped gingerly as they sought a familiar or friendly face. Most elementary students bounced into their new class- rooms, except for a few uncertain ones who had to be begged and pleaded with to enter their rooms. After all -the upperclassmen met in a general assembly, they were dismissed to first hour assigned classes. The seniors began the tradition of choosing lockers and lockerma tes. 5. om ecoming' appenings assles A time to celebrate auld lang syne for former BHS grads and families, and a time for fun and games for all. That's Homecoming. The frivolities began the week before with the construction of floats and gatherings of classmates. The sophomores were the winners of the float competition for the third consecutive year, and the poor seniors fell to mishap as their float slowly fell asunder as they dragged it through the streets. The night before the a waited event didn 't go unmark- ed. A pep rally was held in front of Joe Flamm's MFA and went into a snake dance all over town. Reigning over Homecoming was Queen Jodie Stone, who was escorted by Mike Skarbek. Jodie was crowned during halftime of the game against Wentworth, in which the Bobcats fell to defeat 7-0. The sophomore Hoat is ready to roll in the parade and later is awarded first place in the competition. .fQf2f:1ffo.,sy.,, ,,, ' ,M H' M awp-m1,,5,.,,,, - 1. ., .. A ,,., ...
