SENIOR IMAGES SENIOR IMAGE Thoughts of Graduation It is a night in June. There are many young people wearing long robes and caps with tassels hanging from them. It is graduation time. The Seniors at B.U.H.S. are ready, willing and able to face the world or are they? No one really knows how graduates feel at the time of gradu- ation, however, I know how one of those Seniors will feel because one of those graduates is mel When I think of graduation it is really scary at times. I know that I won't have high school to come back to next year. The daily routine is over. and the change sometimes frightens me. Graduation is a time in your life when you realize that your childhood is over. It is a time of joy, and a time to make decisions. It is a time to be proud of yourself and your accotnplishments. Webster defines improvement as a betterment or an increase in value, WouIdn't it be nice if there was no crime in the world? Or how about a lower unemployment rate? It would also be great if we could put an end to hunger and poverty, These improvements would take time and patience to do, but they can be done, Improvements can be applied to a student's career. Improvement can mean getting lost on the first day of school. It means getting used to a teacher's way of teach- ing, or recalling what you learned the year before. It is getting your own car, graduating from high school to go on to bigger and better things is improving. Improving is being yourself. It is learning from your mis- takes and also learning to laugh at life. Improvement is knowing when to listen. being able to judge for yourself and coming to a decision.
