Before getting blocked, Henry Rodriguez takes an outside shot. . . . nd Frosh Kept It Going The Freshmen Basketball Team The Freshmen team season record saw only two wins. lt was a rough and tough fight but the boys never lost their faith and spirit. Six of their sev- enteen Iosses came in the last few min- utes of the game. There was one over- time in their loss to Calexico. Coach McNaughton stated that the high point man for the season. Marco Hernandez, and Javier Aguirre N f X xl Junior Varsity Basketball The JV team was a young team made up of mostly Sophomores Coach Jim Rose said the boys were willing to play and learn and more importantly worked together to try to pull the team on to victory. The boys experienced few wins but through it all stuck to- gether and are now looking forward to a second year of JV play. Ladycats Varsity Basketball Ladycats Varsity Basketball Coach Fred Deihl is not a rookie to basketball but it was his first year to coach at B.U.H.S. Under his expert coaching, the Ladycats enjoyed a success- ful season of near balanced wins and losses. The team traveled to tournaments in Las Vegas, San Diego and El Centro. They took first place in two and came out second in the El Centro Tourna- ment. The season had its highs and lows, but the girls' spirit and determination never swayed!
