The girls worked hard on improving their game through many afternoon practices. With individ- ual dedication, hard work, practice and self- dedication, the JV team improved as the season progressed. Although their matches were few, the team was pleased to be able to compete in or- der to prepare for what is ahead on varsity com- petition. The highlight of league play was a IO-8 victory over Indio. Led by our number one singles player, Vickie Blan- kenship, the team had an overall record of ll- 6 and a league record of 5-3, which was good for a third place and a CIF berth.
