We are now known as the Thespian Society. This change took place because our Dra- ma Department joined the International Thespian Society - a world-wide organi- zation which fosters and promotes the ine arts throughout all levels of educa- tion and theater. T e Thespian Society was extremely ac- tive during their 86- 87 opening season. Working hand in hand with The Imperial County Arts Council we participated in seven valley-wide productions serving as stage and technical crew publicity ush- ers and box office sales. In addition we also managed a trip to Los Angeles where we toured the NBC Studios. All in all the Thespians had a fantastic year under the superb leadership of President Janet Hensley learning about the world of the theater!
