This year's girls varsity tennis team was under the direction of a new coach, Mr. Mark McCleave. Mr. McCleave led the team to a league record of 5-3. When the team played schools that weren't in DVL they didn't do as well, with an overall re- cord of 6-10. The nemesis of the team was Indio, who was first place in DVL. This year's team went to CIF, but they lost to a tough team in the first round. The coaches had to work extra hard to or- ganize the team and give each boy an equal chance to show his talent, The boys got off to a slow start, but im- proved rapidly and went undefeated in all but the last game of league play, Many people were impressed by this year's team, and we are looking forward to a promising future for the Wildcat football program.
