Above, Victor Quinones ran for a large gain against Palo Verde in the homecoming football game. The eventual score was 20-0 in favor of the Wildcats. Marlene Larran flashed her flapper style as she danced at the homecoming dance. Students who dressed in 20's style got a discount on the dance admission price. Below, the whole homecoming court took a dip in the dunking tank following the dunking contest held earlier. Alexis Avila and Deven Owen rode into the stadium on the running boards of a 1918 Dodge roadster. This was at halftime of the football game before the King and Queen winners were announced. Mrs. Hazel Burris, the first female ASB President at BUHS and a member of the Class of 1928, crowned Alexis Avila as the 1984 Queen. Q u V i Homecoming King Deven Owen and Homecor Queen Alexis Avila danced together at the homec ing dance. - Theron Hopkins was on his way into the water someone hit the target. The dunking contest was of spirit week, held just before homecoming. Juanita Padilla dreamily wondered if she would the title of Homecoming Queen. This year the en student body had a chance to vote for the homecn- ing royalty.

'omecoming Celebrated Roaring enties my, e e iff' Above, the entire 1984 Homecoming Court was: Marlene Larran, B.C. Roque, Juanita Padilla, Junior Fangon, Liz Williams, Theron Hopkins, Gloria Padilla, Paul Esquivel, Alexis Avila, and Deven Owen. Left, Theron Hopkins and Liz Williams rode into the stadium on the running boards of a 1914 Ford roadster. Below left, Susan Spates boogied down at the homecoming dance following the game on Friday night. Below middle, Jay Boyd got into the '20's mood at the dance. Below right, Stephanie Slater and Cami Jones posed for a D. Tom picture, dressed in their best flapper style. The 1984 Homecoming at BUHS was preceded by an entire week of events and activities. Among the fun times organized at lunch by the ASB officers were a tricycle race, a tug-of-war, a dunking contest for the homecoming court, plus Varsity B's traditional slave sale and slave day were held on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday's tradition- al pep rally gave way to an exciting football game won by the Wildcats. Some fans were excited as well by the fight that occurred right at the end of the game. The dance that ended it all was well attended by flappers and guys dressed in '20's costumes, thus culmi- nating a week that will live in many students' memories as the Homecoming Week of 1984.
