Moonlight And Roses , Them The Class of 1987 created a dreamy effect in their efforts at putting on the 1984 Baby Ball. A traditional fall dance at BUHS for freshmen and sophomores, the Baby Ball this year was more formal than many preceding ones. Included in the admission price were corsages and boutonnieres for the couples who attended. At right, King Steven Veysey and Queen Frances Asmond enjoyed the admiring gazes of those in attendance. Below, Victor Veysey at work as Master of Ceremonies. Moonlight and Rosesy' was the theme of this well-publicized dance fabovel, and about 150 people attended to see the crowning and enjoy the dancing. Many sophomores labored hard to make the dance a success. At right, Frances Asmond is crowned by Mark Owens, 1982's King. 70 Baby Ball

Above, Victor Quinones ran for a large gain against Palo Verde in the homecoming football game. The eventual score was 20-0 in favor of the Wildcats. Marlene Larran flashed her flapper style as she danced at the homecoming dance. Students who dressed in 20's style got a discount on the dance admission price. Below, the whole homecoming court took a dip in the dunking tank following the dunking contest held earlier. Alexis Avila and Deven Owen rode into the stadium on the running boards of a 1918 Dodge roadster. This was at halftime of the football game before the King and Queen winners were announced. Mrs. Hazel Burris, the first female ASB President at BUHS and a member of the Class of 1928, crowned Alexis Avila as the 1984 Queen. Q u V i Homecoming King Deven Owen and Homecor Queen Alexis Avila danced together at the homec ing dance. - Theron Hopkins was on his way into the water someone hit the target. The dunking contest was of spirit week, held just before homecoming. Juanita Padilla dreamily wondered if she would the title of Homecoming Queen. This year the en student body had a chance to vote for the homecn- ing royalty.
