Dances were a big part of the social scene at BUHS, especially during football season. ASB and various clubs and classes sponsored these dances, and in general they were Well attended. Dance activity dropped off some during the winter and spring, a victim of nice weather and other things to do. At right, Wes Burns en- joyed a dance with a friend, while Tiffani Curiel gave the photographer a questionable look. Music enrollment continued to shrink this year as more and more students found music difficult to fit in with all the new state require- ments. But the ones who did manage to find a place for music were enthu- siastic and learned a lot. In addition to band, madrigals and guitar were offered. Students could use these classes to fulfill their fine arts re- quirement. Tim Asamen worked hard on student government activities. he ASB officers this year were a very hard working and dedicated group of students. This year they organized several ances, including homecoming, ran the student store, organized and coordinated homecoming and other spirit activities, ncluding the Plaza pep rally, and, of course, held the famous monthly ASB Council meetings, to which every second oeriod class and every club was eligible to send a representative. The officers also represented BUHS students in a number if ways and organized a Valley-wide student leadership conference in the fall. ASB 61
