Stud nts Learn d Job Skill ROP Classes of the 1984-1985 year consisted of Office Occupations, Word and Data Pro- cessing, Retail Merchandise, Banking and Finance, Nursing, Body and Fender, and also Food and Services Cafe. These courses helped the students get acquainted with the outside world of different businesses. The teachers of these courses are Mrs. Bilder- back, Mr. McMurry, Mrs. Thompson, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Keldsen, Mrs. Rifkin, Mr. Simpson, and Mrs. Swartz. The Military Class at B.U.H.S. trained stu- dents to be members of The California Cadet Corps. Class activities include close-order drill, physical training, and military-style discipline. During football season, cadets served as parking attendants and provided a color guard a few times. Seniors who gradu- ated after going through the Cadet Corps were placed higher than entry rank if they entered one of the services. A major change in the Cadet Corps this year was changing the class from first period to sixth period. Cadets 35
