S Club got off to a slow start this year, but worked hard to make the rest of the year very much fulfilling. This year's New Year's Dance was put on by the S Club. They actually transformed the drab gym into a place of cheery colors. The S Club also donated a great amount of money to various causes. All in all, the S Club had a great year. J Monique Ruiz and Gloria Padilla danced away to the latest sounds. The Military Class at B.U.H.S. trained stu- dents to be members of The California Cadet Corps. Class activities include close-order drill, physical training, and military-style discipline. During football season, cadets served as parking attendants and provided a color guard a few times. Seniors who gradu- ated after going through the Cadet Corps were placed higher than entry rank if they entered one of the services. A major change in the Cadet Corps this year was changing the class from first period to sixth period. Cadets 35
