I 3, f . . . 2. gf- . f s nfs, 4... .A I ,A , 1 K' nf Dressed in their masters' identifying Slave wear, Danny Davis, Clark Seybert and Bruce Van Dam were typical of the many willing slaves that were seen about campus on Slave Day Slave day was a double success. Not only did the masters have their own private slave for a day, but the student body also made a tidy profit on the deal. The football players were auctioned off at the local slave mar- ket in the auditorium after school. During the auction the bids were sometimes unsure since the buyers could only see parts, such as an arm or toot, ot their prospective mechandise. Friday, October 22, the slaves were subiecteol to a barrage of bril- liant l?l ideas thought of by their masters to completely humiliate the proudest slave. Having the slaves wear atrocious hats, heavy chains and bells, and ridiculous clothing were only some of the bright ideas conceived in their rnaster's minds. However, the slaves, as well as everyone else, enioyed themselves during the activities ot slave day. As the slaves gathered at the end of the day at the pep rally Mark Rutledge and Les Tucker expressed their opinions of slave day.
