Without them we would literally be swamped with trash left behind by our somewhat far- getful students who seem to 'disremember' what trash cans are for. Every schoal day after lunch we see our diligent clean-up crew picking up all the trash lexcept the studenrsl and cleaning aff the food that is smeared across the table. Besides this ,Hercu- lean task the ianiitors must also put up with the constant naggng of the faculty to get the work orders completed lthe ones turned in year before lastl. And if youre wondering about those men around the school with the green thumbs they are the ones who are constantly work' ing behind the scenes to help keep our cam- pus beautrful. lf they aren't raking the leaves or pruning the trees, then they are trying to run you down with their hot rod lawn mowers an the pretense of cutting the grass. The staff of the La Ocotilla would like to express their sympathies to Ralph Acuna who was severely burned when a boiler blew up in the gym. He was in the hospital for a month before he was well enough to go horvc While absent from his rnany duties, Big Ralph was missed by bath students and faculty, Ralph Acuna and Ray Miller confer on the best way to carry a box.

The people behind this operation had a Her- culean task ahead ot them when they started, and they knew it. De- spite the fantastic odds that were against them, they proceeded to cook and feed not only BUHS stu- dents, but also every elementary school student who wanted a hot lunch.
