Most of the team members were also active in the Girls' Athletic Association. Under The supervision OT Mrs, Elizabeth Smith, The Team played both home and distant games, By meeting with Their advisor aTTer school Tor practice, the Team was alole To execute exciting games. Each girl drilled Tor hours to de- velop co-orclination in order to ex- hibit a superior representation Tor Bravvley Union High School. Girls' Athletic Association enjogs gear Under the direction of Mrs. Eli- zabeth Smith and Mrs. Anne Wilson, the Girls' Athletic Association had a very successful year in upholding the ideals of good sportsmanship, promoting friendship among its members, and furthering athletic interests and activities. During the meetings, the girls par- ticipated in different team sports such as swimming, volleyball, volley tennis, and softball, for which they received credit points. lf 500 points were earned, the girls received a let- ter, if 700 points, GAA pin, if TOOO points, a white sweater. They may also have earned points on outside activities. The girls also participated in bake sales, bowling, skating, bike hikes, and swimming parties in the year. t 1 .S- v V Ar I.
