,V IEE The Administration Has The task of our high school superintendent principal, Mr. E. F. van Dam, is to organize, to plan, and to maintain proper human relation- ships. ln these areas, the high school adminis- trator finds many rewarding experiences, espe- cially when progress is seen. It is the desire of any principal to loe a personal friend and coun- selor of each individual student and teacher, and our principal has certainly achieved this goal, The interest and concern of the people in this community and for the students of Brawley Union High School is evident in the excellent school board we have. The men chosen to establish school policy are of the highest caliber. Those chosen are responsible representatives from all walks of life who work together to provide a diversified field of study and athletics for the students. ., . Vey J' 9 . x mi Mr. Herbert Boyd, in his second year as assistant principal, was one of the major factors in keeping the school operating smoothly and most everyone contented. Sharing in this diffi- cult duty was the director ot student activities, Mr, Mark Hammerness. These two men formed a formidable team which no student dared to challenge. Assisting them in the directing of students l was the vice-principal, Mr. Robert Farrell. An integral part of the office team, he is in charge of attendance while at the same time counseling the young men who come to him for help. Among the counselors are Mr. Vernon Marr, Junior counselor, Mrs. Bidwell, Frosh counselor, Mr. Lawrence, Vocational guidance counselor, and Mrs. Youstler, Dean ot Girls and Senior counselor.
