Starting The season rather slowly, The wildkittens lost Two of Their first three games, one To Granite Hills, 52-42, and the other To El Caion, 46-43. BUT, at This point, Coach Smith seemed to charge his Team with a winning spirit as The Wildkittens suddenly caught tire with a seven game winning streak before bowing to a strong Banning by only Tour points. The Kittens Then smashed Calexico, 65-53, before losing To Coachella, 38-43. The kittens Then smeared El Centro, 63- 50, and annihilated The Imperial Tigers, 61-20. By losing to Blythe the very next game The kittens lost Their chance To an unshared champion- ship. The J.V. Team closed OUT Their season with impressive wins over Calexico, 62-54, and El Centro, 70- 52.
