The club had entrants in three other contests-the Lions Club, the Optimist club, and the Sons of the Golden West, at which they took first place in rounds, The BUHS speech club was a mem- ber of the San Diego Speech League and the Calitornia State High School Speech League. Competition in these leagues took them to Claremont Col- lege and IVC for variation in compe- tition. This year they were a mem- ber of the National Forensic League.
