Avid members of the Spanish IV class which were also members ot the Foreign Language Club, ioure neyed on a cultural exchange trip to Mexico at Easter. Money was raised by the class by selling tickets to a beef rattle . They were sponsored by the Women's Auxiliary ot Brawley. The T967-68 officers were: Rose- mary Ferrin, Pres., Leslie Fleming, Sec., Imogene Fitch, Treas., Cheryl Morelock, Mgr. ot Pub., Laurie Round, Rep. This club studies politics and how it is run. Though not all of these Junior Statesmen will become President of the United States, the experience of working with the government will prepare them, if tor nothing else, to vote with more intelligence in future elections. One of the most important events that the Junior Statesmen attend is the convention at Asilomar every year. Last year they held a mock election to show them the principles ot an election.
