Coach Mao ls OUR Coach! Coach Hal McNaughton was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana, He attended Burris High School and Ball State Teacher's College in Muncie. Coach McNaughton ioined the coaching staff of Brawley in 1955 as assistant coach to Robert Farrell. He was backfielal coach for the varsity and also Track coach. In i965, Coach Mac assumed the posi- tion of head coach of the football team. ln his first year as head coach, Brawley won the l.V.L. Champion- ship, He has also coached golf. Coach Mac through the years has been known for his winning attitude, and his ability to transfer this feel- ing to his players has made him a well thought of coach by his boys. Coach McNaughton has a lovely wife Mary, three sports-minded sons and three daughters. Fishing and outdoor living take up his free time when not working with his teams. Mrs, Mason is the attendance clerk and private secretary to Mr, Robert Farrell, the vice-principal. Mrs, Mason lust returned to the administration last year after a short leave of absence. Among her other duties, Mrs. Mason also renders her services as substitute nurse when Mrs. Lamb, the school nurse is absent, Her smil- ing face and clever puns often helped to ease the tensions of an office call. The usual affectionate adiectives would not be sufficient to describe the students' feelings for Mrs. Mason.
