Barbara Butler and Belinda Ulloa attended camp this last summer at Squaw Valley where the won great honors and recognition with their routine done to the music of Georgy Girl . This yeor's flagtvvirlers were Deb- bie Stevens, Sue Tapley, Janet Bur- ton, Jenniter Burton, Alice Estrada and Imogene Fitch, Along with the Maiorettes, these well-coordinated fancy tootworkers performed at half- time shows during football games and ioined the Drill Team and marching band in representing Braw- ley High in the numerous parades. Hours of devoted practice during the summer aided in their versatility.

Second row: Ruben This year, the Brawley Union High School Band has been as active as in past years, but didn't receive the recognition they deserved. lt is still putting out fine music, and it is still learning new patterns and new songs to go with them. These songs were first heard by the students in the pep assemblies, and were re- ceived with much gratification on the part of the students. These were re- ceived this way because the students needed something new and refresh- ing to be presented before the as- semblies, and the band presented it, Among the special arrangements was a bright, happy version of Georgy Girl , a suspenseful form of Fever , and a rollicking, foot- stomping translation of The Battle of Jericho .
